Clemens Gutjahr

Clemens Gutjahr is a German pianist and producer. His modern jazz project, the Clemens Gutjahr Trio, recorded its second album called Monster, wich was released as Next Generation in the Jazzthing magazine. Goat in the Shell is his second live project, based on electronic beats and synthesizer improvisation. Clemens Gutjahr also composes and produces music for theater (Tschick, Das Tagebuch der Anne Frank), films (Fortune Coockies) and video games (Switch Team Racing).
He was born 1990 in Karl-Marx-Stadt. Early influences were groups like Gorillaz, Ray Charles and Esbjörn Svensson Trio. After his studies in sociology he studied jazz piano in Stuttgart and in the National Conservatory in Paris. The ambition for improvised music and electronic sound design led him to a bright pallet of creative music. Further projects as a sideman are SJ Cora and Mothers of Guru.
